The Importance and Purity of Worship

I will sing unto the Lord the joyful song; I will praise his name for the Lord is God. Let us shout with joy to the Lord, all the earth. Let us worship with gladness. Come before him singing with joy. Acknowledge that the Lord is God! He made us and we are his. We are his people, the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gate with thanksgiving, go into his courts with praise. Give thanks to him and praise his name for the Lord is good for his mercies continues forever and his faithfulness continues to each generation. Worship is very important to God. Worship shows how much you adore, love and reverence the spirit of God. Most people take worship out of context thinking that worship is not important to God. But worship is something that God cherishes the most because your worship comes from your heart and if worship is coming from your heart, then it shows how much you love God. worship is the clearest and most direct means of showing your total dependence on God. It shows your trust in Him in the midst of darkness. It confesses your commitment and devotion to the One who was crucified for you and to whom you are eternally joined.

Worship is defined as the act of bringing adoration to something or someone. All religions have some form of worship to their deity. As Christians our worship is given to the one true living God, the God whose inspired word is the Bible. Although as humans worshiping a perfect God, Christians do not always worship God the way that He wants them to. Due to our fallen nature humans focus on themselves and self-centred. In Both Islam and Christianity, the belief of one true God is highly favoured amongst the two and both acknowledge God as transparent, but they differ in their reference to God. The Christian religion refers to God as Almighty Jehovah along with other names. It is understood that God is an invisible creator. However, the Islam religion recognizes the supreme High God as Allah, who is separated and unapproachable.

Praising and worshiping God helps us complete God’s primary purpose for creating us. (Eph.1:3), It is impossible to know the will of God without true worship. (John 4:24), Praise helps us understand our own identity, privileges, and responsibilities. (Eph.1:1), Praise helps us gain a richer sense of spiritual, mental, emotional, social, and physical calmness. Praise helps us gain a greater awareness of how enriched we are through God’s blessings. (Eph.1:3), Praise helps us feel greater security in His everlasting love that chose us from creation. (Eph.1:4), Praise helps us have greater self-esteem knowing that God picked us out for Himself. (Eph.1:4). Praise helps us live lives that are blameless, pure, and wholly devoted to God. (Eph.1:4), Praise humbles us when we worship God, we gain a right view of ourselves. Praise deflates excess pride and ego. We gain a healthy self-image, based on God’s view of us. By removing pride, praise strengthens us against temptation. Praise helps us understand our inherited entitlements in Christ. (Eph.1:5) Praise establishes our faith. The greater we see our God, the smaller we see our problems. Praise elevates our emotions worry, fear, and doubt cannot survive long in an atmosphere of praise. Therefore, let us always give Honour, Praise and Worship to our GOD for He is the master and creator of everything, and (John 3:16) for GOD so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life.
