My helper in time of need ” God himself”

One thing to note about God is his willingness and ability to help us. Therefore, let nothing stand between you and your helper. Psalm 121 is a reminder of where to turn in times of need or troubles when up against something you cannot handle. Sometimes problems to us is like a great mountain looming over us, a huge trial that we have no idea on how to cope with a mountain of worrying Psalm 121: 1 “I look up to the mountains does my help come from there?” The answer to the overwhelming challenges is Psalm 121: 2 “My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth! With my experience of God and the journey of life, I have come to realise that, a lack of gratitude causes people to be negative.  As we can all seeing more negativity in the world of today than ever before. This negativity has also crept their way into the church of God.

We see a believer and people of faith complaining about how unfair life is, who has offended them? what they are lacking is focusing on their problem but not the solutions. Hence our helper in times of need has never changed. So, we should approach God’s throne of grace with confidence to receiving mercy and bringing grace to help us in our time of need. It is important to be thankful to God in every situation. Remember that having a job you don’t like much is what other people who are unemployed would love to secure, but at least with the job you can pay your bills and have money to spend when required. Always be thankful to him (God) for the ability to be able to secure a job and earn income.

Do not complain when waiting for God to do something for you and not fail to realise that God is the one who has been bringing you this far Hebrew 13:5-6 “ Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said,“Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”So we say with confidence “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?” In any condition you are in life be faithful and give thanks to the Lord because, he is your helper. Psalm 30:12 “that my heart may sing your praises and not be silent. Lord my God, I will praise you forever”. Amen!
