In life we want to be the best, have the best of everything, and be surrounded by only the best people that can help us to achieve our desired goals. But as a Christian it takes more than just wanting the best, you must put forward the effort, and follow the path that God has set forth. But unfortunately, when you are a Christian, some things will get in your way, your faith can become tested, and your decision making can become clouded.

Many people respect the Bible for its religious significance. However, the Bible offers more than just religious guidance. It provides practical advice for everyday life. Reading the Bible has helped some people balance their life by improving their mental and emotional health. People found real purpose and meaning in life for reading the Bible. Their life has changed immeasurably for the better.

Your physical Health: Ephesians 5:29 “After all, no one ever hated their own body, but they feed and care for their body, just as Christ does the church” The principle of the Bible encourages us to look after our physical health. Evidence shows that majority of health problems are related to personal lifestyle choices. Therefore, adopting the right personal choices, leads to better health. It is advisable you take good care of your health by eating healthful foods and drink enough water. Physical activity improves general wellbeing irrespective of your age. It has been proved that prolonged sleep deprivation is a risk factors to many serious illnesses, therefore, get enough sleep. 2 Corinthians 7:1 “Therefore, since we have these promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God”. You should always avoid harmful habit by not polluting your body with harmful substances like anger and overacting. Proverb 14:29 and provide 23:20.

The Bible warns against emotional health that are harmful to our health and encourages to cultivate those that are beneficial. Proverb 16:32 “The one slow to anger is better than a mighty warrior. It is always beneficial when we develop the strength to control our emotions. Uncontrollable anger is destructive, therefore, learn to control your anger before it controls you. Other Bible principle that will benefit your emotional health includes: Avoid unnecessary worry about the future proverb 17:14. Think things through, thinking ability will keep watch over you and discernment will safeguard you Proverb 2:11. Avoid and or walk away from argument.

Successful relationships are more about giving than about receiving, look out not only for your own interests, but also for the interest of others, Philippians 2:4.
While people use many different religions and paths to find God or to express their spirituality, research has shown that those who are more religious or spiritual and use their spirituality to cope with life, experience many benefits to their health and well-being. For many, this news would come as no surprise; spirituality and religious activity have been a source of comfort and relief from stress for multitudes of people. The Bible uses the word “Spirituality” to refer to an attitude or an approach to life (Jude 18, 19). Many people consider the Bible to be a sacred book. They find when they read it and apply its guidance, they feel uplifted spiritually and come to understand their purpose in life.
